The flash,
Metallica Blue,
Startles,
Like a gunshot,
Sudden illumination,
A sneak glimpse
At the world
As it really is,
A clarifying snapshot
Of this instant,
Gone forever,
Fades to black,
Until all that’s left
Is the roar
Of a god.

And all of a sudden,
a shift,
Not tasted, not scented but Felt.
I look to the sky,
red berries striking against
a blue of blazing infinitude,
and I smile.
“Sup Spring?”
